Professional Fee Protection Insurance

Clients who enrol under our fee protection insurance policy are covered against the costs of professional fees arising from H M Revenue & Customs enquiries into their tax returns. Also covered are the costs of dealing with Employer Compliance PAYE visits.

H M Revenue & Customs have the power to select your tax returns at random for a variety of enquiries. These range from queries about certain aspects of your return to a full scale investigation.

We have seen the number of these enquiries increase. Dealing with these enquiries to achieve the best outcome for clients necessarily involves professional fees which can be substantial. By comparison, the insurance premiums are modest.

If you file a personal or corporation tax return, or run a payroll or are registered for VAT, you could be subject to a random investigation. You are strongly advised to take out cover.
