About us

Geoffrey Collins established the practice in 1991, having previously qualified with what is now PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and after spending many years in financial management positions in industry, both in the UK and overseas. Geoffrey Collins is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

The firm’s offices are based in central Guildford in Surrey, with easy access to London, as well as Gatwick and Heathrow airports. We provide a full range of taxation and accountancy services to both personal and business clients, not only in the local area, but also in London and internationally.

Geoffrey Collins & Co is a trading style of Geoffrey Collins Limited, a limited company registered in England (no 04571489), whose registered office is at 26 Scotlands Close, Haslemere, Surrey, GU27 3AE. We are a firm of chartered tax advisers regulated by the Chartered Institute of Taxation. We are also a firm of chartered accountants regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Our fees generally depend on the time necessarily taken to carry out a particular task, as well as the nature and complexity of the work involved. We are always happy to give a fee estimate in advance. For regular clients we raise periodic invoices covering all work done over a given time period. We fully comply with the professional indemnity insurance requirements of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Our insurance policy is with one of the major specialist insurers in the London market.

On taking instructions from a new client, we issue a letter of engagement setting out the scope of the work to be undertaken. Our terms and conditions of business are attached, and form an integral part of our letter of engagement.
